President George Bush, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Gov. Mike Huckabee, R-Ark., and Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif are making their presence known in New Orleans, this week, two years after Katrina devastated and demolished New Orleans due to broken levees.
On Sunday, Barack Obama visited the CrescentCity and focused upon what he would do to rebuild New Orleans, if elected.Tomorrow, the other Presidential candidates will participate in a “Hope and Recovery” Summit put together by United States Senator, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. The republican and democratic candidates will also likely discuss what they can offer the voters as Katrina becomes more of a Presidential election issue. In addition, President Bush’s Gulf Coordinator, Don Powell will be the featured luncheon speaker.
On Wednesday, President George Bush will visit New Orleans.Last year on Katrina anniversary, while in New Orleans, he announced that he favored revenue sharing for Louisiana associated with the Outer Continental Shelf.Bush has indicated that he favors recommending helping to further fund the New Orleans recovery.
While in New Orleans, Obama said he would hasten the recovery by focusing upon catastrophic insurance, law enforcement, health care solutions and other remedies.
More blah, blah, blah, blah smack from a political wanna-be. Remember...... The Standard Politician’s
Code of Ethics
For the New Millenium
“To do or not to do……..
That seemingly could be the question…..
Whether it is nobler to maybe do,
Or perhaps maybe don’t
It is none of your business,
And that is our intention.
So complain if you must…………
As we abuse your misguided trust
Because we don’t have to do anything,
About dishonest suppression”
So be of good cheer…….
The New Millennium is here
And we can rob you
At yet another special session…..
But remember you……..
As you and I continue to do what we do….
It is not I but the soundness of your vote
which is the real question……
So be of good cheer…….
The New Millennium is here
And the loot you provide us
will be used to cause you more dissention……. This poem is found on page 6 at www.strongconcrete.com Seems like a lot of truth to be found on that website. I wonder what the 'potential' governorial material that is running for office thinks of that website and of pages 12, etc., etc. on it. I am pretty sure Bab's still has her panties in a bunch over it.
