Presidential candidate, Fred Thompson traveled to KennerLouisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, gave stump speech extolling the virtues of American Conservatism and moved onto Iowa.
While addressing the audience, Thompson focused upon the differences between his campaign and Republicans in general compared to Democrats.
The actor from Tennessee and eight-year US Senator focused upon “law and order” in the world lashing out at those who want to destroy the United States and claiming that the Democrats would hurt the US standing around the globe for not being strong. He also said the Democrats wanted a “welfare state”
Thompson also focused upon his pro-life credentials presenting himself as the most pro-life candidate in the Presidential field.
Thompson also slapped at the federal judiciary calling them one of the worse violators of the “rule of law”.He said that they were social engineering and not being strict constructionists and some woke up every day seeing how they could change the way America has functioned over the past two hundred years. One example Thompson gave was judges passing laws favoring same sex marriage.
Thompson also spoke about the importance of securing the borders from illegal aliens.
When Bayoubuzz asked about whether he was satisfied with the Administration and the Congressional response as it related to New Orleans and Katrina, Thompson said that he was disappointed with the federal response, that he had warned the federal government about the lack of interoperability in 2001.He said that the federal response was not adequate.Thompson also said that he was looking forward to the changes being suggested by the Governor-elect Bobby Jindal.
Well put Randall. Presidential candidates from both parties, e.g. Ron Paul (R.-Tx.) and John Edwards (D.-S.C.), are both hitting a similar theme that has the U.S. (privately controlled) Central Bankers hustling to shut them up. The corporatocracy wants to have 3 decades of the executive branch controlled by 2 families (Bush & Clintons). That is how long power will be concentrated in the hands of a few if Hitlary is elected. Why do you think Rupert Murdoch, owner of Fox (Republican)News, is throwing fund raising parties for Hillary (manipulator of the Democratic Central Comm.)? Wake up America to the manipulation of the bankers/financiers! To quote Pat Buchannan, the Central Committees of the Republican and Democratic parties are two wings of the same bird of prey. Let us not elect another president who is brought to us by the bankers - be it the Republican ExxonMobil clan or the Democratic pharmaceutical/Hollywood clan! Be it Ron Paul or John Edwards, working Americans need to shake up this system! No more Bush & Clinton gangs! Written by P. G. T. Beauregard

For republicans to have any chance whatsoever of holding the White House, they had better start distancing themselves from the failed Bush/Cheney administration---the most unpopular administration for the longest period of time since polling began 60 years ago---fact, not opinion. As The Gipper(Reagan) used to say---"facts are funny things, they don't lie." Because of this pathetic administration, republicans will lose anywhere from three to seven seats, Sen. Landrieu's seat notwithstanding. Thompson sounds like he gets it, at least to some extent. The others, other than Ron Paul, don't get it. The other republican candidates live in a state of denial. They do so to the detriment of their party, and to the detriment of the conservative movement. Written by Randall
