What would be refreshing to me is for enough of the public to decide that they - not politicians - should be making as many decisions in our governance as possible. Instead we look for the "honest, moral politician" to lead us. Oh please. Written by kpf

Wow. A refreshingly apparently honest possible politician. Surely, we don't want one of those in Louisiana. Written by Noladude

KjunLady, dear, we prefer true history not fiction. Might we suggest The Great Southern Babylon by Alecia P. Long about the turbulent history of prostitution in New Orleans from 1855 - 1920. Yes, dear, we believe that there are more than just Vitter. Name them all. Let's see what might happen. Heck, it might disclose a lot of politicians, Democrats, Republicans and Independents. LOL. Now there are many legal cases over the years that have shown a variety of issues involving the rights of those in long term liasons. Concubinage, dear, was the term. Interesting mixture of peoples and oh yes of ancestries. No telling what history of individuals would show. LOL more and more. Written by RhettsWife

Whoops, RW... "The Feast of All Saints" is the book I meant to recommend.... a delicious novel about "ladies of the evening" laced with historical New Olreans... (A "Cry to Heaven" is also a great Rice book-- but, it's about young male opera singers bred and groomed in European monasteries).... not crazy about the vampire series... but loved those two works of Anne Rice's. ... sorry to get off the topic. RW says, "New Orleans and its quality gentlemen have been known for their pecadillos for years" ......<smile>... RhettsWife- I do remember the faces of the "prominent gents" when the Canal Street Madame story broke..... One seedy john, (besides Vitter) looked like a pizza-thrower with a suit-- He was a practicing physician from St.Bernard, (exciting, huh?-- any more?)...... why do you want those names?... Would that help clear any of the smut on Vitter?...He got away with his illegal, nasty habits for years.... RW, dutiful spouse of Rhett, I'm surprised at your patronizing forgiveness of such a cheating louse like Vitter..... (Oh- and you're looking for a good book about Madames and historical New Orleans?:::Get "Cry to Heaven"....by Anne Rice, [before her vampire days]) Written by KjunLady

Kajunlady, dear, believe me there are a lot more gents out there, whose names would suprise you. Common sense and logic will tell you that. New Orleans and its quality gentlemen have been known for their pecadillos for years. Do some reading about this going back in time. Many a law case involved these prominent individuals and thier concubines. History can be so interesting. Written by RhettsWife

RW says, "give us the list of all the johns at the D.C. Madame and the Canal Street Madame bordellos"........ When will you understand?.... David Vitter IS THE BIG FISH in the local whore houses, and the DC brothels too-- If Wendy (Vitter's regular prostitute) or any of the others had "somebody of interest" in their little black books-- Donchya think they would've cashed-in?...Who do they have to protect now?.... Yes- Stormy is a joke-- but SO IS VITTER..... Republicans have plenty of time to put forth somebody with moral character, and somebody who can get along with his peers at home and in Washington... Bitter Vitter is very laughable in the Senate... nobody listens to him anymore. Written by KjunLady

Come on now, we've go to stop electing officials as though it's for high school student councils. Surely now we can see what letting idiots run the government does to the state, the nation and the world. Taxes and public debt aren't something to play with and never were funny. As long as Louisiana treats government as a joke, the rest of the nation and the world is going to keep laughing at us. We need to get serious about it and stay that way or there won't be anything to laugh about at all!! Written by Not Insane

I disagree, electing Stormy, or anyone else, over Vitter can only improve the state's image. Written by Bordello Fellow

Stormy, dear, give us the list of all the johns at the D.C. Madame and the Canal Street Madame bordellos. You must be good at something? Otherwise go home, dear. Louisiana has a bad enough reputation as it is. Written by RhettsWife
